Sossamon’s touchdown came on the second play of the Gamecocks’ alumni game. His spike wasn’t quite as good as Gronk’s, but we’ll allow it. Our only wish is that he would have dabbed on them folks as well. Still, it’s obvious he cherished the moment.
“I enjoyed it very much. Lot of fun,” he told The State about playing. “Brought back memories.”
This game was all in good fun, and Sossamon’s score wasn’t the only feel-good moment of the day. The team also honored former three-year starter Randy Wheeler, who in 1998 was paralyzed in a car accident.
